“Jorge Mattos” is a short film about the Brazilian dancer Jorge Mattos and aims at exploring the relationship between dancing and self-expressing. We, as human beings, are moved by passion. We are driven by the need to express ourselves and connect with other people – but what moves us as individuals to our different urges? What makes us crave over our passions and pursue our dreams so fiercely?
Dancing is the way Jorge Mattos found of understanding his body and the world the surrounds him – it is his way of understanding himself. As a filmmaker, I wanted to explore how our desires can shape us into the people that we are now. And above all, I want to know: what moves you?”
